I am an artist, designer and maker of handmade small batch ceramics and I am based in the beautiful small town of Steyning in West Sussex. I am a member of Steyning Arts and take an active role in local craft events such as art exhibitions, and the annual Steyning Arts Art Trail and Christmas Fair.

My interest in arts and crafts goes right back to my childhood but more specifically I fell in love with ceramics after taking a Raku course in Brighton many years ago. In 2006 I completed a BA Hons degree in fine art sculpture.

Creating art not only brings me immense joy, it grounds me, and has helped me navigate difficult periods in my life.

It all began with me attending a recycled textile course when suffering from postnatal depression. Making homewares, cushions, door stops, etc was extremely therapeutic and helped me through this difficult time. At the time I was truly grateful to have had that wonderful outlet which motivated me to create a sewing group for young mums presenting with all sorts of difficulties, which ran for many years.

Once again, the creative arts came to my rescue through my diagnosis and subsequent recovery from breast cancer some years later. It was only then that I rekindled my love of pottery and have not looked back as it brings me so much happiness.
